Getting in and About

From the Airport

To get to Tallinn University from the Airport, you can take a taxi. There are taxis available in front of the Airport building. Since Tallinn Airport is fairly small you will easily see the taxis waiting in front of the arrivals gate. The cost of a taxi drive to the Tallinn University should be approximately 13 EUR. About the same rate applies when driving to one of the pre-booked hotels.

You can also use public transportation. The bus stop is located in front of the arrivals terminal. You can take Bus No.2 to get to the city centre and get off at A. Laikmaa Street (next to Viru Keskus). Alternatively, you can take Tram No.4 to Keskturg. In either case, the university is within a 10 minute walk from the stop.

Tickets are sold by the driver upon entering. Both paper tickets and rechargeable smart cards are available also from the R-Kiosk in the Passenger Terminal. The ticket costs 2 EUR when bought from the driver and will grant you the right for one ride; prices are cheaper with smartcards. See webpage for more details on smartcards. You can also buy ticket by mobile phone, more details here.

You can consult the bus and tram timetables online (find the stop named ”Lennujaam”, which is the Estonian for Airport).

There is Airport Shuttle service available at Tallinn Airport. Price for 1–7 people to the city centre is 18 EUR. Price for further destinations are subject to agreement. As a means of payment cash and credit cards are accepted. In order to save time it is recommended to pre-order your transfer by sending an e-mail to info@airporttransfer.ee.
